Ceramic’s decentralized data network provides Web3 developers with a set of features that allow them to create scalable Web3 applications with composite data that can be reused and shared across applications.

The main benefits of blockchain:

— A repository of changeable data. Ceramic provides developers with a set of standard, open APIs for storing, updating, and retrieving data from the network.

— Data composability. Data on Ceramic is structured and stored in data models that can be easily reused by different applications to exchange data between them.

— Decentralization. The Ceramic network is decentralized and permission-free, allowing anyone in the world to run a node to provide storage, computation and bandwidth resources to users and applications created on the network.

— Scalability. Ceramic’s data network infrastructure is highly scalable and can serve instances where high data throughput is required.

To summarize

The project seems very interesting. The ability to store editable documents, files and version-controlled multimedia in IPFS, keeping a transparent and verifiable history without having to keep track of changing hashes.

— Funds/investors: Multicoin, Ethereum, Moonbeam, Near, Animoca Brands., Jump Crypto, Coinbase Ventures Hashed, Metacartel Ventures, Edge & Node, Digital Currency Group, Variant Fund, Dapper Labs, Protocol Labs, ConsenSys, The LAO, Dialectic. The project raised a total of $30 million.

— Testnet: You can put a node, and write that they will give some bonuses for the activity in their discord.

— Discord: 1.3k subscribers, low activity.

— Twitter: 23.4k followers, above average rating.
